We were a small but mighty group today!
Even with 8 of our classmates off playing beach volleyball, we still got lots of learning done!
We started our morning reviewing equivalent fractions using "les reglettes" (Cuisenaire rods). These math manipulatives help us create and compare different fractions.
Next, Mme Careen read us Cindy Neuschwander's newest book Sir Cumference and the Fraction Faire.
Mme Careen had the chance to meet the author back in the fall and was very excited when this book arrived in the mail earlier this week! Perfect timing really, as we just happen to be learning about fractions in Math!
We ended our morning together playing Kahoot! We tested our fraction and basic facts skills and learned that having quick (and accurate) reflexes can help us come out on top!
